The first day of spring, March 20th 2021, signifies when the northern hemisphere of the globe begins to tilt towards the sun. This results in increased daylight hours and warming temperatures.
Metaphorically and metaphysically the returning light illuminates our emotions, personal and professional projects, physical status, and anything else we have put to rest during the winter season.
In this upcoming time of fertility and rapid manifestation, make sure to take the most tender and budding parts of yourself and dedicate yourself to nurturing them. Before the harshness of the summer sun arrives, you can now work with all parts of yourself right where you're at: no judgment, no expectation, no pressure. Only growth and self-acceptance are allowed.
Here is a spring equinox tarot spread that can help you honor both the shadow work and the returning light in your life. Addressing both aspects of yourself during this time will allow you to holistically move forward without leaving any important parts of the self behind.
Use this spread for drawing your own cards from a deck or as a writing prompt. Each placement has a suggested "drawn card" so you don't even need a deck to do this exercise!
Make sure to let the light touch your skin during this time. You may be able to take a walk, you may get it from a drive on a sunny day, or even by reading a book or taking a nap near a window. The returning warm rays have much in store for you if you let them in.
